The Contribution of Shading to the Energy Efficiency of the Buildings
1st HSSA One-day EventCurrent trends, new innovative products & solutions.
The event
What are the current trends and what new innovative products are coming in the shading industry? What are the benefits of shading and what is its contribution to tackling global warming? Is shading a key element of building construction and what is its role in the energy footprint of buildings? What is the relationship between the architecture of building facades and shading?
All these questions will be answered at the first one-day event for the shading industry, organised by the Hellenic Solar Shading Association (HSSA), on December, 2 2024, at the Benaki Museum (138 Pireos St., Athens), titled “The Contribution of Shading to the Energy Efficiency of Buildings”.
The agenda
More specifically, the proposals and solutions, provided by the shading products in relation to the shielding of the buildings against the climate change challenges, will be presented during the event. At the same time, the new technologies that are changing the industry and the shading applications that respond to these developments will be analysed. The conference is organised with the endorsement and the support of the ES–SO (European Solar Shading Organisation).

The aim of the event
The main objective of the one–day event is to attract businesses and professionals of the shading sector, but also institutions, architects and civil engineers as well as energy inspectors in order to inform and raise awareness about the benefits of shading and the significant contribution of shading products to the energy efficiency of buildings, as well as the greater thermal comfort of the exterior and interior spaces.
